“Bellon gives a whole new twist to the vampire story!”…”This book was fantastic…I could not put it down…”
He faded in and out of consciousness. Sound, light, and movement blended together until he couldn’t tell one from the next. Coherent thought was impossible; fragments of ideas filtered in then slipped through the sieve of his mind. He was weak, dehydrated, and starving.

The one consistent concept he was able to grasp was his name. Brennan Miles. The name he had given himself. Simple, strong, normal; all qualities that he longed for. He no longer remembered his real name, just as he no longer remembered anything before he’d come to the institute.

The few who had ever met him took one look at his stocky build, and thought he looked plenty strong. He could see it in the way they looked at him with a mix of awe and fear. But he wasn’t strong in the way that he wanted to be. At the moment, he wasn’t even physically strong. They’d kept food and his supplements from him for over seventy-six hours - the longest period to date. Water was the only offering and even that had been the bare minimum. They wanted to see how powerful his need would be when triggered.

He had seen how intense his need could be and what it could drive him to do. All those other times, though, he had been in prime condition - healthy and agile. In his current state, he doubted he would be able to lift his head, much less give in to the power of his unnatural instinct. The doctor would be disappointed.

Serves him right, he thought.

Brennan heard the swish of the door open and close. His acute sense of smell instantly recognized the scent of Doctor Shinto and that of a stranger. Repulsion and hate flowed through his veins. The voices of his visitors drifted in and out. They spoke about him as if he weren’t there. He was just an object, an experiment. He wanted to lash out and crush the doctor. He wanted to give in to his need here and now, but with his ankles shackled and his wrists bound, he would do no such thing. Even if he had been unrestrained, he doubted that he could stand up, let alone end Doctor Shinto’s unconscionable life in his current condition. Instead, he let his head loll against the back of his chair and listened to the conversation at hand.

“Don’t get too close, Mr. Champlain. He can smell us. I don’t want him to be tempted.”

“Tempted, huh?” Champlain said, “he’s restrained and looks to be half dead. What threat could he be?”

Dr. Shinto spoke methodically. “He’s been without supplement or food for over 3 days. He’s had only 50ccs of water daily. He is extremely weak and dangerously dehydrated and will go into hypovolemic shock if he doesn’t get what he needs very soon.”

His voice was devoid of concern. The only inflection was a breathless excitement revealing the delight he took in his work.

Hiding Out by Nicole Andrews Moore

Synopsis for Hiding Out:
Samuel Davenport runs his family's New York based advertising agency. His brother, Adam, runs from responsibility and anything remotely boring. And his temp, Haley, runs so she'll never be caught and hurt again. She moved to the city New Year's Day to hide and recover, to build a new life far from her past. In an effort to lie low, Haley never expects to be more than a temp. What begins for Sam as an excuse to get to know her better, ends up being an opportunity for advancement and excitement for Haley. When Sam tries to uncover all of Haley's mysteries, he exposes her hiding place, endangers her life, and threatens to destroy any chance of them ever having a future together.

Excerpt For Hiding Out:
“Come here,” Haley said softly.  “Want to hold her?”  And when he didn’t move, she walked over to him.  He tried to back away and began to protest quietly, but she simply took him by the hand, and gently sat him in the chair.  In an instant he realized he was genuinely afraid of handling anything that tiny.  “Arms like this,” she commanded as she demonstrated how she wanted his arms positioned.  He hesitated.  “Come on,” she urged.  “You’ve held women before.”  Her eyes sparkled as she teased him.
He cleared his throat, embarrassed.  “I like them bigger.”  He smiled.
“Women are suckers for men and babies,” she said quietly.
Suddenly, his arms shot out to hold the infant.  Behind Haley, Ellen’s eyes grew wide at the new side she was seeing of her boss.  Sam smiled shyly at her then focused on the petite bundle Haley deposited in his arms.  He looked at her with open adoration.  “Careful, Haley,” he said, “I could fall in love.”
“Oh, babies are easy to fall in love with when their sleeping,” she said, staring at the baby that he was holding so cautiously.
He lifted one hand and caught her chin, forcing her to face him.  “I meant you,” he whispered in a husky voice. Sam pulled her face close and brushed her lips with his, sending shivers down her spine.

C.M. Stunich was raised under a cover of fog in the area known simply as Eureka, CA. A mysterious place, this strange, arboreal land nursed Caitlin's (yes, that's her name!) desire to write strange fiction novels about wicked monsters, magical trains, and Nemean Lions (Google it!). She currently enjoys drag queens, having too many cats, and tribal bellydance.
Always a fan of the indie scene and 'sticking it to the man,' Ms. Stunich decided to take the road less traveled and forgo the traditional publishing route. Unexpected Love; Author Charlene M. Martin

Unexpected Love
Author Charlene M. Martin
Coming May 1

Ok, So her book is now going to be broken up into 3 sections. Charlene has a big job ahead of her. So she needs some help. She will sell the ebooks in 3 seperate sections, then offer the paper back one as a whole depending on her over all word count. This will enable her to get the story out to you faster as well as give her extra time to prefect it. She promises it will be better than it was for my first round of Beta girls. Ok so New unedited prologue for the first book in Unexpected love....

I can’t take my eyes of Arissa as she runs around the peaceful garden catching butterflies. I can’t believe how much she has grown over the years. Her blond hair is down to her shoulders with loose curls that dangle on to her pastel pink dress. She has on these little strappy white sandals that show her tiny toes.  She giggles as she jumps high in effort to catch a vibrant orange butterfly. Unfortunately it’s just out of her grasp. I watch as disappointment washes across her face she stands there with her head bent down, shoulders slump and pouts. I chuckle and shake my head she is too cute for her own good.  I watch patiently as the butterfly lands upon her head she is unaware of its presence too caught up in her pouting. I lock this beautiful image into my memory bank for safe keeping I never want to forget how precious she is. I am suddenly alarmed by this warm sensation.  Unsure of what it is I look over my body to see what it could be. I nervously examine my chest, arms and legs and they remain untouched by anything. What on Earth could this be?  Strange things like this have been happening a lot lately and they are very alarming. I have never had this happen before. I wonder what is wrong with me, maybe I am becoming ill. Disregarding that I watch Arissa as she notices a purple and yellow butterfly dancing it’s way to her. She stands so still with her hands out in front of her with bright eyes just watching and waiting patiently to catch her prey. My gaze is anxiously upon her awaiting to see if she succeeds.  Then by the grace of God the tiny butterfly lands in her hands. She just stands there shocked by its presence. As it starts to walk around her hand she trembles and giggles a little. She then folds the butterfly in her hands careful not to harm it. Lifting her arms high above her head she opens her hands letting it fly free.

She is such a sweet, patient, and caring child. I hope life stays this way for her and she doesn’t lose herself in life. Life has a way of taking the good parts of you and leaving bitter ones in its place. It can be a very cruel world one should think hard before bring a child into it.  It seems as if satin has his claws firmly dug into this world. I am unsure if it will ever be safe again.

Once upon a time before heaven and hell we separated this place was very peaceful. Everyone treated each other with respect and concern in general. Unfortunately the rift between the brothers cause them to separate thus creating heaven and hell and leaving earth open to be demonized. Lucifer sent his minions to wreak havoc on the earth they were manipulating people to steel, inflict pain and harm onto others as well as kill anyone that did not want to choose their way of thinking all of this just to get back at his brother.  God responded by sending angels to earth to protect the people from satins demons. The angels can protect from any direct threat to life, but cannot influences freedom of choice. If they did that they would make them not better than satin himself so for now we remain with freedom of choice and living in a world full of hells demons.

I thought that she was being persuaded by evil at one time. She was Two and was very angry at little Elena for tripping her on the playground she had smacked her head into the corner of the wood frame around the play set. She stood up with tears in her eyes and cold cocked Elena right in the nose. I was a little worried at that. A long conversation too place she was informed that she should never hit anyone and that she can’t let her anger drive her emotions to hurt others. After that she was encouraged to treat others with love and compassion just as she has been treaded. You know the famous saying “Treat others how you want to be treated.” She Apologized to Elena and they became best friends and inseparable. I believe that she closed the door to evil after that. I dread the day if evil every truly finds her.

Over the next few years she continued to grow up with a strong scene of self. I remember when she was 12 and was playing seven minutes in heaven at her best friend Elena Birthday party and  she kissed little jimmy from down the road. I was frustrated by this and I didn’t know how to handle the situation. Kids do these things, but not her. She has always been more mature than other kids her age. Sure she has her temper tantrums just like any other, but she seems to be more in tune with who she is and what she wants. She very loving to others treating them with respect as it should be. I guess that little talk after she punched Elena worked. I am often proud of who she is she tries to give others great self-esteem.

She has a great sense of humor I often laugh at her. Like when she was 14 and in her bedroom with her hair brush in her had singing to Britney Spears “Hit me baby one more time” that was so funny I was caught off guard by the outburst of my lungs. It scared me at first, but then I felt more alive than ever before.

Life was changing for me and for her too. I was becoming more connected to her as she grew older. I would say now that I have this drive to keep her safe and protected. I guess that comes from being so close to her. She has recently began to have interest in boys and to say the least it’s very difficult to watch. I find that I often have to refrain from inflicting harm on the boys that she is interested in. This new guy Damon has been in her sights; well at least that’s what I get from over hearing her conversations with Elena. I know I probably shouldn’t listen in, but I just can’t help myself.

Damon and Arissa have only been dating a few days I watch them from the school parking lot.  He is sitting on the hood of a friend’s car she is standing in between his legs. The look they are sharing has me slightly on edge.  I feel my Agitation growing with every minute that passes. A group of jocks walk by and whistle at Arissa.  This causes Damon to get off the car and pull her into his arms kissing her for the first time to staking his claim. A big smile is plastered on her face as she looks up into his eyes she appears so giddy by his actions. I on the other hand feel like I am on fire, all I want to do is go rip off his pretty little head and feed it to the wolves for dinner. I can’t believe that little nit wit is kissing my sweet girl. I start to walk towards her and then think better of it. I will just have to keep a closer eye on her I don’t trust this delinquent.

Author Bio:
I am 31 years old. I read a lot of YA paranormal romance novels, Romance, and Erotica. I had a dream about a good book idea and I told my best friend Dana. She encouraged me to write it. After some thinking I went along and started. Within the first day I had a half of book. In about two months I had all but the ending. I got discouraged and my good friend Shanora Williams gave me some great advice and support. So I picked up the laptop and I finished it. I can't say that all the editing and stuff is done. The story has it's ending. I am thinking of doing a book two. If book one does well. I am excited and I hope that it goes well. I am married and a mother of one amazing little girl. I work at a Hospital as well. So this is just something I decided to try at. If I succeeded than I am very thankful. If I should fail then I know it's not for me, but I think I will continue as long as I have the thoughts in my head to do so.
