“Buffy” meets “50 Shades!”

He only needs three nights to make her his …

With more heart than sense, fearless, beautiful Zoey has saved countless college-aged women from horrifying deaths at the hands of supernatural sadists. She may be a mere half-succubus in a society that views half-breeds with derision, but she still retains the highest rescue rate of any Hunter in the Sucubatti society and possesses one of the highest levels of sex magic. Ever. So why does it matter that she has authority issues and drinks too much?

And why the hell does a sexy, irresistible and infuriating incubus suddenly appear in her life, claiming that she’s his pre-ordained soul-mate?

As the calm, disciplined leader of the Incubatti Enforcers, Declan is the polar opposite of Zoey – and the sworn enemy of her society. Forced to rescue her one night, Declan realizes two things: he doesn’t need someone as wild and independent as Zoey in his life – and he can’t live without her. Every incubus gets only one soul-mate and he’s stuck with someone just as likely to kill him as yield to his sex magic.

Neither can fight the intense attraction between them, yet trusting each other is out of the question. What will happen with their world crashes down around them?

Strike three. You’re mine.

Author Bio:
One day while slaving away at her monotonous day job, Jennifer Martinez found her true calling. Like a firefly in the night, the pages called to her. Once she caught the bug there was no stopping it. Her fingers flew furiously across the keyboard winding tales of love, mystery and anger. She snapped out of her reverie to find herself still behind the desk but at least she knew who she was… Author Jennifer Martinez.
I like to think of myself as a beautiful conundrum. When I am not writing, I can be found surrounded by my amazing family and 4 dogs or volunteering at a local animal rescue. I love who I am and don’t mind at all when I get strange looks from people. I am a tattoo covered, child and animal lover who looks forward to destroying peoples preconceived notions of what “someone like me” would be interested in. You only live life once… you may as well make it interesting.
I love to get lost in a good book and hope that everyone will get lost in mine.

Teaser:
I moved my curly brown hair over my shoulder as he began slowly unzipping my dress, savoring every inch of the skin he had never seen. As my dress fell to my feet I was completely open for him to see. I turned back around and we began kissing again as I fumbled with the buttons on his white dress shirt. Once I had the final button undone I traced my fingers up his washboard abs over his chest and onto his shoulders where I finally lifted the shirt of his solid frame. When his shirt finally shared a space next to my dress, he lifted me up and onto the bed. With both of us now on the bed, things continued to get hotter. His kisses no longer stopped at my collarbone and every time my breath would catch he would wait a second then continue. I took the time he was leaning over my exposed body to take him in in all his splendor. I traced every inch of his skin with my fingertips making sure I memorized every muscle and every dip. I finally snuck my finger inside the waistband of his jeans and we took the next step.
Now honestly I can't tell you exactly what happened. I know that once I undid the button on his pants he stood up and let his jeans fall to the ground as he grabbed a condom from his bedside table and put it on. I can also tell you that he looked absolutely perfect with his red swollen lips, flushed face and perfect chest rising and falling with the excitement that hung in the air like a fog. When he climbed back on the bed he slowly removed my panties and then we were dancing. It was like the perfect waltz, slow and a little awkward at first while I learned the moves but once I was confident in my dance we were like Cinderella and Prince Charming at the ball. Dancing on clouds, perfectly content and in love. I didn't say it that night and looking back, if I had things may have gone very differently. Fate’s kind of a bitch like that.

Written in the Stars Excerpts:

Excerpt 1:
I giggled maybe a little too vibrantly and saw his head dip down to inspect the blades of grass. I used my free hand to lift his chin and bring his eyes back to mine. I said, “I have dreamt about you saying that for the last nine months and you know what? It's even better in real life.”
I saw a sparkle in his beautiful brown eyes as his hands relinquished their hold on my hand and moved to my face. I was flooded with warmth and chills as his thumbs traced the lines of my face leaving little trails of fire everywhere they touched and sending shivers down my spine.
In that moment the whole world ceased to exist. It was just me and Curtis surrounded by the muted sounds of crickets basked in moonlight taking in every detail of the moment. Nothing in my wildest daydreams could have even come close to the fireworks that exploded when he finally leaned in and lightly grazed my lips with his. My body ignited with an electricity I had never felt as I look in that same smell that had sent me into a daze nearly a year ago. He leaned back and looked into my eyes as if asking if it was ok that he kissed me. I felt the corner of my mouth twist up as I bit on my lower lip completely in awe that this moment had finally come. He traced my now throbbing lips with his thumb before leaning in again to firmly place his lips on mine in our first real kiss. I swear we were floating through the clouds as out lips pressed together, breathing each other in. I could feel his passion, admiration and caring rolling off of him. We could have kissed for hours sitting there on that bench but we finally broke apart. We walked hand in hand back to my dorm where he gave me one more quick peck before turning towards his car. I grabbed his wrist before he could escape and invited him in for cocoa and Boondock Saints.

Excerpt 2:
The buzz of the needle and smell of anesthetic were like a soft blanket wrapping me securely and comforting all my fears. As his hands alternated between leaving his mark permanently on my body and rubbing the ointment over my new kitty I was able to take in the true beauty of the parlor. The sounds of people laughing, the buzzing of the needles and the rock music playing over the speakers was a symphony all its own. It told a tale of finding your own way and being confident in your decisions. The camaraderie in the building was amazing. There was no judgement within the walls of the Oasis. It was the first time I felt I belonged since my transformation. The needle pulsing in and out of the soft skin on my leg felt like an ice cube being dragged along my body. It was uncomfortable at first but the longer I lay there the more it became a part of me. The release and beauty the needle left behind kept me craving more. The finished piece was beautiful. He covered it with A and D ointment and gave it one good slap before giving me a hug and telling me to come back in a few days to see how it was healing.
I walked out of the parlor laughing at one of the many black pussy jokes that would pepper the rest of my life with humor and walked directly into Kevin's solid tattooed chest. I apologized through the laughter ripping at my sides and it took him a few seconds before he recognized me. He asked what I was doing back again so soon and I showed him my new tattoo and introduced him to Hazel. We talked for a while about tattoos and piercings before he invited us to see his band, the Screeching Banshee's, play at a dive bar called The Magic 8 that night. He gave Hazel directions then ducked into the tattoo parlor for a new tattoo.

Excerpt 3:
Once we were safely in the privacy of what I would later find out was his room, we picked right back up where we left off. Our hands explored every inch of our sticky bodies while our tongues entwined tasting every bit of each other’s mouths. The salty taste of his skin was a far cry from the sweet pungent scent of the room. His fingers slowly made their way to my rib cage leaving trails of heat like scars on my skin. His grip tightened around my chest as he effortlessly lifted me off the ground. When my legs wrapped around his hips I heard a growl escape his throat only forcing me to hold on tighter. Our lips never parted as he lowered us onto his black and blood red sheets. I snaked my hands under his shirt, exploring his stomach and slowly taking his shirt off. I had never really gotten a good look at all his tattoos and I wanted to see every inch of his body. He placed his legs on either side of my hips and sat up slowly taking his shirt off as I kissed and licked all of his exposed skin. Tattoos weren't the only thing covering his body. His stomach and sides were riddled with old scars. I made it a point to kiss each and every one as I let my mouth do the exploring. I glanced up just as his head tilted back euphorically and took the opportunity to remove my own shirt. We were opposites in every way. He was covered in a past that left its mark and tattoos that expressed all his emotions while I was a blank canvas still learning what it meant to think for myself. For the briefest second I saw the hope in Kevin's eyes and then he was pressing his entire, hard body on top of mine. His teeth found a sweet spot on my neck right as my hands found their way to his ass. Every nip made me squeeze him a little harder and I was shocked to find out that I was actually enjoying the pain.
I had enough of the teasing and decided it was time to lose our pants. I pushed him up just enough to unbutton his black jeans. His eyes lit up like a bonfire as he relinquished his position on top of me and rolled over onto his back. I trailed a path down his stomach with a mix of kisses, licks and nips. The farther down I moved the louder his moans and growls became. When my mouth finally caught up with my hands I used my teeth to slowly unzip the skinny jeans that were guarding my prize. The zipper finally stopped and my fingers wrapped around his waistband leaving little red trails where my nails scratched his porcelain skin. Every inch closer to the floor his pants got the tighter his grip on my hair became. By the time they were in their rightful place on the floor I could feel the throbbing sting on my entire scalp.
My eyes surveyed every inch of his naked body as my mouth watered for a taste of the solid, hard cock standing at attention like a flag on July fourth. I gave him one last kiss on the mouth before licking my lips and heading south to my prize. My tongue lightly grazed the head of his magnificent member, causing it to twitch before I moved onto his shaft. Once my tongue was done exploring I opened my mouth to take him all in. His heat in my mouth was intoxicating. The more I sucked the more excited I became. His moans of pleasure and constant hair pulling continued to spur me on. The harder he pulled and the louder he moaned the harder I sucked. I had one hand wrapped around the base of his cock while my mouth sucked, licked and glided across him. He finally lost control and pulled me off of him and onto my back.

Excerpt 4:
Even though I had no interest in men it would have been a bold faced lie to not at least mention this man was gorgeous. He was six feet tall with clover green eyes and auburn hair like mine. He had the perfect five o clock shadow, a chest that stretched his white tee to the limits and an ass you could bounce a quarter off. When he finally made it to my car he reached out one hand to shake mine and the other to pet the husky.
“Aye, yer must be Mack. It's guid tae meet ya.” He said in an unbelievably hot Scottish accent. Yep, I had to change my panties after that.
“And you must be Coll, its a pleasure to meet you as well.” I replied. He helped me with my suitcase and formally introduced me to Blaze, the husky. If the outside of this house was beautiful the inside may as well be a feature in Better Homes and Gardens.

Sometimes the life you planned isn’t the one you get to live.  Sometimes the pain of the past overshadows the future.  And sometimes to start over you have to go back to where it all began.  That’s how it was for Joe Masters.  That’s how he ended up back in New Hope.  And that’s why he was in his thirties and had nothing to show for his life. He needed a complete overhaul, just like his father’s old house.  Instead of a fast track, he had slowed down and was on a ten year plan.  These days that was more his speed. And as much as he tried to fight the inevitable, he was learning to accept and surrender.
Martha had weathered her fair share of storms in Vermont, was accustomed to the cold, both the chill in the air and the cold shoulder in her marriage, but after the miscarriage she felt like she would never get warm again.  So she did the research from the laptop while sitting in front of the fireplace.  She knew what she needed when she Googled hope, she just never imagined that it would bring her to New Hope, South Carolina.  She never imagined that her husband would trick her into leaving and never follow.  She never imagined that a southern storm with all its force and fury could be so destructive.  But after the storm, the land is washed clean.  It’s perfect for a fresh start, a clean slate, and a new love.

Excerpt from Stormy Surrender

Marti glanced at the hammer, then the tile, shrugged, and started swinging.  The tile made a lovely high pitched sound as it shattered.  The shards flew about the room, ricocheting off the walls and door before landing on the floor.  And because that first swing felt so good, she just kept swinging.  Each time the sledge hammer connected with the tiles, she would think of what her marriage had been like.  She would recall an incident, or a conversation, or any one of a thousand reasons that she should have dumped him, should have ended the marriage years ago.  It felt good.  Maybe even great.  And then she looked down and saw red.  Literally.  There were blood droplets all over.  Before she could even ponder why the room was looking like a crime scene, the wooden handle was ripped from her hands.

“What are you doing?”  He sounded incredulous.  And annoyed.

“You’re a contractor?  What does it look like I’m doing?”  She was upset that he had interrupted her impromptu therapy session.

Shaking his head, Joe grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the room.  “I know demo and that wasn’t it.”

She growled.  “I wasn’t done yet!”

“You, babe?  You are finished.”  She opened her mouth to argue, but he covered it.  With his mouth.

Shocked, she stood there with her eyes wide open.  His mouth was pressed against hers.  And it didn’t feel wrong at all.  Without thinking, she melted into him, wrapped an arm around his neck, and allowed her eyes to slowly flutter shut.  Joe bent slightly and scooped her up and held her against his muscular chest.  His lips pulled back, but his forehead was pressed against hers.  She opened her eyes to find him staring at her.

“Crazy woman,” he muttered to himself as he carried her out the back door of the house.  She couldn’t be certain, but it seems like she would have been carried farther if he hadn’t heard the sound of others talking in the front yard.

Slowly he lowered her to the ground and made sure she had her footing before releasing her.  She wanted to smile up at him, but she hadn’t decided what to make of that moment.  All she could do was look at him and murmur…”Why?”

“I needed to distract you,” he responded with a shrug.  And with that he turned and walked away.

Teaser# 1:

"The Letter"

Hi Baby,
I hope the rest of your day went well. I have not been able to concentrate on anything since I left you. I finally decided to get on the plane earlier than planned so I can hear your voice sooner.

I left a few things for your ankle. Please use them, I would have rather taken care of you myself but I have to make this trip. Arthur has been instructed to pick you up and take you to and from work for the rest of the week. I know you are going to balk at this but please let him do this. He would just be sitting around otherwise.

I stop reading and look in the box. An ace bandage, bottle of water, ice pack and Tylenol are all present as well as a small wrapped gift. I take the box out and my heart starts pounding. It is definitely a jewelry box and I know exactly what’s in it. I place it beside me and go back to reading.

To say I’ll miss you seems redundant. I’ve been missing you for years. People have called me heartless and they’re right. My heart resides with you and the only time I feel anything is when I’m in your presence. My greatest hope is that someday you will give me your heart again so I can finally feel complete.

You don’t have to open the gift now but I need you to have it. When you are sure about me, when you are ready to love and trust me again I ask that you wear it. It is a symbol of my commitment to you and seeing it on you will be the happiest day of my life. Once you see it I know you will understand. I found it two years ago and I just couldn’t let it sit in my drawer when I knew it belonged with you. I hope you don’t feel like I’m pushing you, I am just excited that you said we can try.

I will call you when I land. I can’t wait to hear your voice. I plan on keeping you on the phone for hours just so I can hear you talk. I want to be the last thing you think about before you close those gorgeous brown eyes. You are that to me, the first and last thing I think about every day, always.

I will speak with you soon. Open the box take care of you ankle and think of me.

I Miss You,
 Bobby

Excerpt:

I hear his car pull up and am out the door like a bullet. I wave to Arthur in the front seat and the back door opens and he is here. I freeze and just look at him. God he looks good enough to eat. He shuts the door and walks up to me and stops. I want to throw myself at him and shove my tongue in his mouth.

“Hi Beautiful,” he lifts his hand to caress my cheek. “God you look good. I missed you.” And that’s it. I grab his hair and pull him down for a kiss. We both groan when our mouths touch. His arms go around me and he picks me up and holds me close. Our mouths open at the same time and our tongues battle for dominance. All thought has left my mind I just want to get closer to him. I wrap my legs around him and use my thighs to push up so my mouth is above his. One of his arms goes under my ass to hold me up. Both my hands are now in his hair my elbows resting on his arms. He nips on my lower lip and I counter by sucking on his tongue. Finally I need to take a breath and pull away.
"Hi Handsome," I pant. I release the pressure of my thighs a littlw so I am more eye level with him.
"Wow, that was some welcome," he smiles at me.

**Disclaimer: This content is unedited and subject to change**

I awake and slowly blink the sleep out of my eyes. The sun is fading, casting dark shadows in the room. I turn my head to see I’m alone in the bed. Lying on my stomach, staring non-seeing into the room, I remember how exquisitely fucked I was just a few hours ago.

The feel of his hard body over me and his cock moving in and out of me, the sweat dripping off him as we both came. I feel myself get turned on all over again, and he isn’t even here touching me. Then I remember his muted words spoken right before I fell asleep.

“I want you to know I would have waited another sixteen years to be able to feel that with you again.”

I’m finding it hard to believe that Jacob could rescue me from the prison I’ve put myself in over the years, living the life of someone other than whom I feel I should be. Even if that is my true wish, wishes don’t always come true.

The hotel room door opens and Jacob walks in carrying a couple bottles of water from a vending machine, setting them on a side table. He looks yummy as he walks to the bed with a wide smile on his face. Sitting next to me on the edge of the bed, he bends down and kisses my shoulder and down my naked spine, stopping where the sheet lies just above my ass.

“Hey, sleepyhead.” He murmurs in between those drugging kisses. My legs start to stir beneath the sheet and I’m tempted to take another ride before I have to leave.

“Hi. If you keep doing that, you’re not going to be able to stop me from having my wicked way with you again and I need to leave soon.” I sigh with frustration.

“Maybe that’s exactly what I want.” Running a finger up and down my spine, he stretches out next to me.

“I’m sure it is, but I have stuff to get done before I’m back on the road in a few days. I warned you I didn’t have much time but I would do my best to make this work.”

“It feels like I just got you back, and now you have to go away again. I’d much rather see your beautiful face, instead of dreaming of it. Will you have time to sneak away again before you fly out?”

“I’m not sure. We’ll have to play it by ear. I don’t know how much I have to give you, Jacob. And I’m not just talking about my time either. I’ve been going down this lonely path for a while now and I’m not sure where it’s left me. Regardless of what we did today, I am still a married woman with commitments and responsibilities.” I hate bringing up this fact, but I need the reminder out there that this isn’t a fairytale. Its real life, and its messy.

He leans over and thoroughly kisses me before murmuring, “I know. And I’ll take whatever I can get with you. It’s better than having none of you.”

With that parting blow, he kisses me one last time, grabs his keys and heads out.

“Text me later, baby. I’ll be waiting.”
